Medical Reserve Corps
The La Crosse County Medical Reserve Corps Unit, established by the La
Crosse County Health Department, serves the approximately 112,000 persons in
La Crosse County. The La Crosse County Medical Reserve Corps Unit
coordinates the role of health-care related volunteers during the time of a
public health or medical emergency, threat, incident, and/or special
health initiatives, including screening and dental clinics and health
promotion throughout La Crosse County.
Volunteers include La Crosse County residents, such as CERT volunteers
and retirees, particularly those from firefighting, police, public health, and
EMS fields. The key partners of the La Crosse County MRC include La Crosse County Emergency Management, healthcare
organizations, colleges and universities, firefighting, police, EMS
organizations, and non-profit organizations.
