Wisconsin Cancer Reporting System: Information for Researchers
The Wisconsin Cancer Reporting System (WCRS) supports researchers in using high-quality population-based cancer incidence data to improve cancer prevention and control across Wisconsin. We aim to make Wisconsin's cancer data accessible and ensure responsible use in research through collaboration with public health professionals, clinicians, and academic partners.
WCRS researcher SharePoint site
Researchers seeking access to WCRS data can find all required materials and guidance on the WCRS Researcher SharePoint site. This internal site includes detailed instructions for applying for data, required forms, FAQs, and additional resources on data use and cancer surveillance best practices.
Email DHSWCRSDataRequests@dhs.wisconsin.gov for WCRS Researcher SharePoint site access
Technical assistance
WCRS staff are available to provide technical assistance for cancer surveillance and research data use. This includes clarifying application requirements, providing guidance on data elements, and answering questions about cancer registry methodology or data interpretation. If you are new to using WCRS data for research, we recommend starting with a 30 minute one-on-one meeting with us so we can better understand your research goals and needs and talk through existing resources.
Email DHSWCRSDataRequests@dhs.wisconsin.gov for technical assistance
