Certification
Performance of Asbestos Investigation and Abatement

Certification is required before conducting most asbestos-related activities.  The Asbestos and Lead Section (A&LS) in the Department of Health Services administers the certification (licensure) required to perform asbestos activities in Wisconsin.  The certification process begins after an individual has completed a training course in Wisconsin from an accredited training provider.  The Asbestos Certification Table (PDF, 17.8 KB) lists the required course(s), fees, and additional requirements.  Certified individuals must work for a certified asbestos company.

Applications are processed in the order they are received.  Incomplete application materials will be returned to the sender for completion.
