Opioids: Opioid Forum

This annual event brings together people from around the state committed to ending Wisconsin's opioid epidemic for workshops on strategies to save lives. 

2020: Wisconsin Dells

The 2020 DHS Opioid Forum will be held May 5-7, 2020, at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center. It will feature workshops on prevention, treatment, and recovery topics related to opioids and other drugs. There will also be sessions focused on the intersection of trauma and substance use disorders. Health and human services workers, law enforcement, medical professionals, mental health professionals, public health workers, and substance use professionals are invited to attend.

An application for continuing education hours will be submitted to the National Association of Social Workers, Wisconsin Chapter. 

  • REGISTRATION FEE: The registration fee for this event will be $85 per person for the full conference. This registration fee includes the meals listed on the schedule. All attendees must register. No scholarships are available. No discounts will be offered for people who do not plan to attend all three days. Registration is expected to open the week of March 1.   • LODGING: A room block is available at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center. The single occupancy rate is $82. Rooms will be held until Friday, April 3, 2020. For reservations, call 1-877-525-2427 or use this online system.
  • EXHIBITORS: There will be space for agencies, companies, and organizations to share information about their products, programs, and services. The fee to exhibit will be $200. This fee includes one table and one conference registration. To reserve your space, email the Division of Care and Treatment Services.
