Dengue Virus

Dengue is an illness spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. Mosquitoes that spread dengue can be found in tropical and subtropical regions. Not all mosquito bites will make you sick, but it is still important to take steps to protect yourself and your family while traveling.

Visit the CDC's (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Travelers' Health page before your trip for recommendations and information on country-specific travel. Dengue is preventable.
