Programs for Adults with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities

Wisconsin has multiple programs available to meet the needs of adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. For each of the programs below, click on the name to learn more about what the program provides and eligibility criteria. Adults interested in applying for any of the programs listed below, must enroll through their local aging and disability resource center (ADRC).

Family Care

Family Care is a Medicaid long-term care program for older adults and adults with disabilities. The goal is to get members the services they need to live in a home setting when possible.

IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct)

IRIS is a program for adults with disabilities and elderly people in Wisconsin. It is a self-directed program. That means participants have the freedom to decide how they want to live their life.

Family Care Partnership

Family Care Partnership helps older adults and adults with disabilities. It mixes health and long-term support services in home and community settings.
