Statewide Epinephrine Standing Order for Pharmacists

Under Wisconsin law (Wis. Stat. § 255.07), a health care provider with prescribing authority who is employed by or under contract with the department may issue a statewide standing order for the dispensing of epinephrine auto-injectors or prefilled syringes for use under sub. (4) by authorized individuals or by employees or agents of authorized entities who have completed the training required by sub. (5).

Operations Memo 23-07, Nonwork Social Security Number Letter for FoodShare Eligibility

This memo announces that the Department of Health Services (DHS) will provide a letter to assist FoodShare applicants with acquiring a nonwork Social Security Number (SSN) if they meet all other FoodShare eligibility requirements. This memo uses the term “applicant” specifically to mean FoodShare applicants who have a qualifying immigration status.

This operations memo provides information on the following:

  • Tax year 2022 information on tax credits and tax preparation services available to working families in Wisconsin.
  • A reminder to Wisconsin Works (W-2) and Income Maintenance (IM) agencies of the importance of notifying program participants of the financial advantages of federal and state tax credits.
  • A reminder on how to count federal and state tax refunds when determining financial eligibility for assistance.

Updates to BadgerCare Plus Annual Income Eligibility Determination Policy - Amended 3/2/2023

This operations memo announces new policies for annual income-based eligibility determinations for BadgerCare Plus, which are also known as “gap filling” determinations. These policy changes coincide with changes to automate such eligibility determinations in CARES. With these changes, the manual eligibility determination process previously used will be discontinued.
