Emergency Outpatient Service is certified by the Department of Health Services (DHS) under Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter DHS 75.05.
An emergency outpatient service operates an emergency phone service and provides on-site crisis intervention to deal with all outpatient emergencies related to substance abuse, including socio-emotional crises, attempted suicide and family crises; provides the examination required under s. 51.45(11)(c), Wis. Stats.; and, if needed, provides or arranges for transportation of a patient to the emergency room of a general hospital for medical treatment.
Up to two years with an annual fee.
Already certified as a AODA Emergency Outpatient Service.
Renewal information is sent by the Division of Quality Assurance at least 60 days prior to expiration. These materials are to be returned within 30 days of expiration. The following applications are required for Community Substance Abuse Services (CSAS) recertification for an Emergency Outpatient Service:
