Sending Outcome Data to EMS Using the Wisconsin Trauma Registry and ImageTrend Hospital Hub
Did you know that the Wisconsin Trauma Care Registry has the option of sending hospital patient outcome information to EMS providers who transport patients to your facility? The state utilizes ImageTrend, LLC as the software provider for Elite, the EMS database and Patient Registry, the Wisconsin Trauma Registry. Trauma care facilities can choose to provide hospital patient outcome data to the EMS database on patients transported to your facility by your prehospital partners. This information could be used to assist in pre-hospital agency training, education, and quality improvement activities. This recording provides detail regarding the EMS outcome data channel. To turn on the reporting option of sending hospital patient outcome information to your pre-hospital partners who transport patients to your facility, the trauma coordinator or trauma program manager at each trauma care facility must send an email of notification to stating this to the Trauma Registry Data Manager.
Documentation of Performance Improvement
The purpose of this training is to demonstrate the performance improvement module of the ImageTrend Patient Registry. The performance improvement module serves as a powerful tool to document the review of trauma cases. This tool can be utilized by all levels of case review, including the trauma medical director. Direct involvement by the trauma medical director is the ideal method to centralize review documentation. This training includes an overview of the data entry section, reports available to pull review information, attaching files to a trauma record, and direct conversation with state reviewers regarding site visits and performance improvement documentation.
