Psychology Student and Intern Program
We are looking for bright, highly-motivated students enrolled in a master’s or doctorate degree program to support the work of our Psychology Department. Our program is ideal for students from counseling or clinical psychology programs. Students from these programs are best equipped to work with our patients. You will be applying your skills in assessment, diagnosis, individual therapy/counseling, group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment planning, and psychoeducation.
Formal and informal supervision opportunities with our psychology staff are tailored to your professional development goals. You will meet weekly with your assigned supervisor to discuss patients and your training needs.
Our patient units are busy, unpredictable places. You must be able to work in noisy spaces with patients who can be verbally and physically aggressive.
Email a letter of interest along with a resumé or curriculum vita at least three months before the date you wish to start the program to Ashlee Pahl, Psy.D. Students demonstrating the skills to be successful in the program will be invited to interview with a panel of psychology staff.
All students/interns must pass a criminal background check.
