Community Recovery Services: Information for Participants
The information on this page is for people interested in receiving Community Recovery Services (CRS), people currently enrolled in CRS, and their family and friends.
Eligibility
CRS is for people who:
- Have been diagnosed with a mood disorder, schizophrenia, or another psychotic disorder.
- Have a functional need for community help.
Most CRS supports are for adults and teens, not children.
Provided supports
CRS includes three supports.
Community living supportive services
Activities meant to help a person succeed at community living. Examples include:
- Access to community resources
- House cleaning
- Meal planning and cooking
- Medicine reminders
- Help with watching medicine side effects
- Money management
- Personal hygiene
- Shopping
- Social and fun activities
- Skill development
- Crisis coping
- Emotional regulation
- Interpersonal
- Parenting
- Recovery management
- Transportation
Peer support services
Activities that include help from people who’ve lived with a mental illness. These peers are trained to support others in their journey to recovery.
Supported employment services
Activities that help with getting and keeping a good job. Learn more about Individual Placement and Support.
