Description

An FDD license is required for facilities where four or more people with developmental disabilities, who aren't related, live. FDDs offer treatment to residents to help them keep up and improve their current skills. They also help residents gain new work, social, daily living, or education skills.

FDDs are also known as intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID).

Fees

$6 per bed per year (and for any change in owner). The Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), Bureau of Health Services, sends facility reports and fee notices to the FDD each year.
