La Crosse Area Medical Reserve Corps

The La Crosse Area Medical Reserve Corps Unit, established by the La Crosse County Health Department, serves the residents of La Crosse and neighboring counties. The La Crosse Area Medical Reserve Corps Unit coordinates the role of health-care related volunteers during the time of a public health or medical emergency, threat, incident, and/or special health initiatives, throughout the La Crosse area. Priority areas for response include mass dispensing, mass care, and spontaneous volunteer management (volunteer reception centers).

Volunteers include medical and non-medical residents with an interest in assisting with emergency response and the outreach of public health activities into our communities. Partners of the La Crosse Area MRC include area public health professionals, Emergency Management, emergency responders, healthcare personnel, educators, pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, and non-medical volunteers of all persuasions.
