Applying for Supplemental Security Income
You can apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) with the Social Security Administration. You must qualify for a federal SSI payment to get the state SSI payment. You do not have to apply separately for the state SSI payment. You will automatically receive the state SSI payment as long as you qualify for the federal SSI payment.
