Two Technical Assistance Centers (TACs) were established in 2025 to support organizations offering overdose and infectious disease prevention services in Wisconsin.
The technical assistance centers provide support to connect people who use drugs with life-saving resources such as information and educational materials encouraging safer use, as well as access to naloxone and other infection-prevention resources.
Additionally, the technical assistance centers partner with community-based organizations, local and Tribal health departments, and coalitions to increase access to overdose and infectious disease prevention services and support.
The technical assistance centers support tailored community response by raising awareness, disseminating information, providing resources, and implementing trainings and educational programs to reduce overdose and infectious diseases associated with substance use.
