Work Incentives Benefit Specialists

Support for working adults with disabilities.

What do work incentives benefit specialists do?

Work incentives benefit specialists help people with disabilities make informed choices about work. They share information about how people who receive disability benefits can benefit from working and explain special rules about returning to work. They can also analyze how work and earnings may impact disability benefits.

A work incentives benefit specialist can help you decide whether the Ticket to Work Program is right for you and help you understand what services are available to help you return to work.

Where can you find a work incentives benefit specialist?

Visit the Ticket to Work Program website or contact the Ticket to Work Help Line at 1-866-968-7842 or 1-866-833-2967 (TTY).

If you are currently working with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), talk with your DVR counselor about getting help from a work incentives benefit specialist.

If you are currently enrolled in Family Care, Family Care Partnership, or the IRIS program, talk with your case manager or consultant about getting help from a work incentives benefit specialist.
