HIV Care and Treatment: HDAP

What is HDAP?

The Wisconsin HIV Drug Assistance Program (HDAP) helps ensure people living with HIV have access to:

  • Health insurance
  • Medications for:
    • HIV.
    • Hepatitis C, if they have both HIV and hepatitis C.
    • The prevention or treatment of other health conditions.

The HDAP Online Portal (HOP) is available now!

The HOP can be used to apply for your HDAP benefits and know where your application is in the process. You can access health insurance payment information and update your information. Sign up today!

Step one: Create a MyWisconsin ID

Create a MyWisconsin ID.

A MyWisconsin ID is a single personal account used to access multiple State of Wisconsin government resources. A MyWisconsin ID is required to access the HDAP Online Portal.

On the HOP login page, there is a guide, titled "Client Initial Login Guide", with instructions for creating a MyWisconsin ID. There are also video instructions for signing up available below the "Client Initial Login Guide".

Step two: Log in to HDAP Online Portal

Log into the HDAP Online Portal.

If HDAP has your email address on file, the HDAP Online Portal will automatically sync with your previous applications and benefits.

If not, HDAP staff will manually sync your account with your previous applications and benefits.

Once you log in, there is a training guide with instructions for completing your application. The guide can be found under “Cases” and then selecting “Client Resources.” There is also a video that shows you how to apply called the “HOP Client Application Submission Guide.”
