WISH Query: Opioid-Related Hospital Encounters

This module provides data on opioid-related inpatient hospital stays and emergency department visits among Wisconsin residents from 2005-2024. Opioid-related hospital encounters data query:

Step 1. Select a Measure for Opioid Hospital Encounters

Step 2. Select Specific Opioid Characteristic

Step 3. Select Hospital Admissions or Emergency Department Visits

Step 4. Choose Area of Patient's Residence

Hold down the control (Ctrl) key to select multiple counties or regions.

Note: To see results for individual areas, choose "Geographic Area" as a ROW variable or COLUMN variable in Step 7 or 8 below.

Note: WISH suppresses counts in cells that are less than five to comply with data privacy guidelines. Combine data years to increase cell counts.
