HIV: Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
HIV Biomedical Prevention Summit March 18, 2026
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services will host the HIV Biomedical Prevention Summit on March 18, 2026, at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee School of Continuing Education.
This summit will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include presentations and discussions focused on access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and current HIV biomedical intervention advancements. Registration will be linked here once available.
PrEP is a way to prevent HIV
By taking one PrEP pill a day or receiving the long-acting injectable PrEP, a person using PrEP can reduce their risk of HIV transmission by up to 99%.
