Public Health Accreditation in Wisconsin - What Is Happening in Wisconsin Related to Public Health Accreditation

Division of Public Health received funding from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) in the fall of 2010 to support state, local, and tribal systems to move toward accreditation.

We continue to support these efforts with Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant Funding.

Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards (WALHDAB) has identified public health capacity building for local health departments. More information on these efforts is available on the WALHDAB website.

Division of Public Health Office of Policy and Practice Alignment regional offices offer technical assistance and accreditation materials including resources, tools, documents, and processes that may provide a starting point for the development of locally required documentation established by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).
