ForwardHealth Partner Resources: Applying For and Maintaining Benefits
End of federal government shutdown
The government shutdown is over and the federal government is now open. We do not anticipate any further disruptions of FoodShare benefits for the remainder of the federal fiscal year. FoodShare and WIC benefits are fully funded through September 30, 2026.
Here is what FoodShare, WIC, and Medicaid members need to know:
- FoodShare members are getting their December benefits on schedule. Members of FoodShare received full November benefits on their QUEST cards. FoodShare members can check their FoodShare balance by calling QUEST Card Services at 877-415-5164.
- WIC benefits will be available as usual. You can continue to use your WIC benefits and attend WIC appointments. WIC members do not need to take any action.
- Other state programs like BadgerCare Plus, Medicaid, and SeniorCare were not impacted by the shutdown. Members can continue to get the care and services they need.
