Winnebago Mental Health Institute: Waterwood School
WMHI admissions moving to Gordon Hall
Effective March 31, 2026, WMHI admissions will temporarily move to Gordon Hall during a long-term construction project. When arriving on campus, follow signs for Gordon Hall. Admissions contact information will remain the same.
Waterwood School teaches patients at Winnebago Mental Health Institute. The school offers classes for kindergarten through grade 12. Licensed teachers work with the patient’s treatment team. They create a supportive learning space that promotes wellness and education.
School hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
