Children's Long-Term Support Waivers - Wait List

For County Waiver Agencies

Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) works with county waiver agencies (CWAs) to manage the CLTS Wait List. The CLTS Wait List includes information of children who are waiting for CLTS Waiver services. Each CWA maintains its own up-to-date CLTS Wait List. The CLTS Wait List is kept online through the Human Services System Gateway, Program Participation System (PPS). PPS is a web-based program that allows DHS and CWAs to review and modify the Wait Lists securely, in real time.

Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver programs place future participants on a waiting list when the CWA has expended all available funds. Children are served from the Wait List on a first-come, first-served basis. There are limited exceptions to this process. See Medicaid HCBS Waiver Manual Section 1.06 D for the Wait List Crisis Needs Policy.
