Inpatient Programs (Adult) are certified by the Department of Health Services under Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter DHS 61.71.
An Inpatient Program (Adult) means a county operated inpatient unit, general hospital psychiatric unit, or private psychiatric hospital whose primary objective is to provide care and intensive treatment for the mentally ill.
Up to two years with annual fee.
Already certified as a Mental Health, Inpatient Program (Adult).
The Division of Quality Assurance sends desk or site renewal information at least 60 days prior to expiration. These materials are to be returned within 30 days of expiration. The following applications are required for a Mental Health, Inpatient Program (Adult) recertification:

- F- 00276* (Word, 131 KB) – Behavioral Health Services Renewal Certification Application Chapter DHS 94 – Patient Rights and Resolution of Patient Grievances & DHS 92 – Confidentiality of Treatment Records
*These should be completed once per certificate annually.
